Established in 1989.
Before we became Townsville Stainless Steel, we were Stephen Fry Sheet Metal. Our current owner, Ashley, did his apprenticeship with Stephen Fry, before buying out his boss in 2013 and re-naming the business. Now the semi-retired boss, who has worked in the industry in Townsville for almost 50 years, is back working part-time for his one-time apprentice.
The training and ongoing professional development for the next generation of tradespeople is richer due to the depth of experience and wisdom passed on from the older tradies.
We also believe in investing in the future of the trade by fostering a culture of mentorship and skill-building. By supporting apprentices and new tradespeople, we ensure that the legacy of excellence continues for years to come.

Ashley Hollins
Managing Director
Ashley is a highly experienced and qualified tradesperson with specialist expertise in sheetmetal design and fabrication. Ashley holds a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) and has continued with post-trade professional development in his trade, project management and business.
Rachael Hollins
Business Manager
Rachael overseas the financial and operational management of Townsville Stainless Steel. She brings approximately 20 years experience in business development and financial management to the team.
Chris Fusco
Business Development Manager
With 20+ years experience in operations, management and business development, Chris joins the Townsville Stainless Steel team to further development the business. Together with Ashley and Rachael, Chris is a leader of the business, ensuring the business continue to produce high quality solutions for clients.
